YOUR VOTE COUNTS!

As a reminder...our readers will vote on who each of us should take on a second date! This date will be a group date with all three participants in this contest. The winner (or the person with the most dates), will receive a free date, paid for by the other two contestants.

Your chance to participate will take place THIS WEEK! Voting will be open ONLY Monday, 01 February until Friday, 05 February. He or she who receives the most votes will be announced once final plans are in place.

Although it may seem that you can vote more than once on any given computer, only the first vote actually counts (trust us, we've tried it out).

Our final blog posts will be written about our second dates. Thanks for your support in our friendly dating competition! We have really enjoyed this opportunity to get a jump start on our personal goals.

Happy Voting!

Jon - Date #7: Renee

Name*: Renee
How I know her: This was a blind date set up by Shara!

I took Renee letterboxing. For those of you who don't know what letterboxing is, it's modern day treasure hunting (like geocaching without a GPS system). You just go online to find the clues and go out to find the hidden treasure. I've done it in the past with limited success, but today we found all 3 letterboxes we set out to find! Must be because Renee is such a good treasure hunter.

It was totally a blast. We visited Provo Canyon, the Provo River Parkway, and Fort Utah. We had lots of travel time to share good stories, and the treasure-finding was always exciting. After we finished we warmed ourselves up with a little hot cocoa and creamer.

Best Quality: It seems to me that Renee is able to make the most out of life, and not let small inconveniences get in the way.
Highlight of Date: On our second letterbox, we stopped by some trees, totally unconvinced that we were in the right place. But we started digging through the snow anyways. After about a minute of stubbornly digging, we found it in exactly that spot! Way exciting!!!
What I Admired: Maybe it was just because she was having so much fun herself (it was, after all, a blast), but I had no idea that Renee's feet were freezing until we finished finding our last letterbox. That was awesome of her.

The word I'd use to describe the date is: thrilling

*Names are different than normal.
