YOUR VOTE COUNTS!

As a reminder...our readers will vote on who each of us should take on a second date! This date will be a group date with all three participants in this contest. The winner (or the person with the most dates), will receive a free date, paid for by the other two contestants.

Your chance to participate will take place THIS WEEK! Voting will be open ONLY Monday, 01 February until Friday, 05 February. He or she who receives the most votes will be announced once final plans are in place.

Although it may seem that you can vote more than once on any given computer, only the first vote actually counts (trust us, we've tried it out).

Our final blog posts will be written about our second dates. Thanks for your support in our friendly dating competition! We have really enjoyed this opportunity to get a jump start on our personal goals.

Happy Voting!

Shayla - Date #18: Keith*

Name*: Keith

Date Description: First I was taken to a gas station where I learned to be a professional hot chocolate maker. Then I was driven out to the middle of nowhere and informed what we were about to do...and what a fantastic idea for a date! We were going to make a potato gun! I have always heard of them but never known exactly what they were. It was fun to learn how to assemble one. Turns out I am quite the drill bit. After several attempts at the gun, we failed to ever get it to fire. Fortunately we had more to do! We had a bunch of wood and built a fire nearby. We even got to chop tumbleweeds with a machete! We ate donuts by the fire and watched Keith try not to catch himself on fire.
On the way home, Keith and I decided to stop at a model home and take a little tour! We changed our names to Keith and Kari and gave ourselves a little tour through the place.

Best Quality: Keith is a very intelligent man. He knows a lot about a variety of things! Basically his brain is a giant sponge that holds information in probably forever. It seems like he always had an answer for my random questions.

Highlight of Date: Watching Keith's excitement over the potato gun was the highlight for me! He reminded me of a little boy on Christmas day--the anticipatory delight beaming from his face was unmatchable!

What I Admired: I admired Keith's desire to try everything! He was willing to try a lot of different methods to get the fire going. Then once it was going he wanted to chop plants with the machete and throw them on the fire! We even lit shirts on fire! And his birth certificate! Oh wait we barely missed that bullet...whew!

How do you know the person you're on a date with? He's in my ward!
Describe the date in one word? Explosive
Thanks for such a unique and entertaining afternoon, Keith!
