YOUR VOTE COUNTS!

As a reminder...our readers will vote on who each of us should take on a second date! This date will be a group date with all three participants in this contest. The winner (or the person with the most dates), will receive a free date, paid for by the other two contestants.

Your chance to participate will take place THIS WEEK! Voting will be open ONLY Monday, 01 February until Friday, 05 February. He or she who receives the most votes will be announced once final plans are in place.

Although it may seem that you can vote more than once on any given computer, only the first vote actually counts (trust us, we've tried it out).

Our final blog posts will be written about our second dates. Thanks for your support in our friendly dating competition! We have really enjoyed this opportunity to get a jump start on our personal goals.

Happy Voting!

Jon - Date #3: Anne

Name*: Anne
How I know her: Anne and I were both in the Tab Choir's Christmas concert this year.

Anne and I went to dinner at Chili's. We had an awesome waitress who was willing to tell us what the best items on the menu were (they all looked good to me). The food was delicious!

Anne hurt her leg while running earlier today, so we had to change our date plans to something a little less active than what I'd originally planned. I offered several possibilities, and Anne helped me choose to go to Nickelcade. We definitely spent most of our nickels on actual arcades, as opposed to collecting tickets. I never realized there were so many cool arcade games. Of course, maybe I was just having so much fun because Anne was making it fun for me. When we were all done with the arcades, we collected tickets from ski ball and a few other ticket games and redeemed them for Otter Pops and candy. Very good investment!

Best Quality: She's always so comfortable to be around, and makes you feel like the only thing important to her is that she's with you.
Highlight of Date: The Kentucky Derby arcade game (I have a new appreciation for how hard a jockey's job is)
What I Admired: Anne was focused on me unusually more than herself--almost as if she took me on the date. She was such a good sport about her hurt leg.

The word I'd use to describe the date is: Redeemed (I was redeemed from not asking her out last month--I wimped out, she was redeemed from dancing on her hurt leg, and we redeemed our tickets at Nickelcade)
Her favorite color is green.

*Names are different than normal.
