As a reminder...our readers will vote on who each of us should take on a second date! This date will be a group date with all three participants in this contest. The winner (or the person with the most dates), will receive a free date, paid for by the other two contestants.

Your chance to participate will take place THIS WEEK! Voting will be open ONLY Monday, 01 February until Friday, 05 February. He or she who receives the most votes will be announced once final plans are in place.

Shayla - Date #1: Dah-Veed*

Name*: Dah-Veed

Date Description: Blind dates are always a little scary...so why not start off the new year with one and get the scariness over with?! Luckily for me I had a fantastic date and wasn't a bit nervous the entire night!

For this date I doubled with a friend and her date. We started off the night by ice skating, which Dah-Veed had never done before--which made it exciting for me to "teach". I also learned that little kids have "walkers" when they ice skate! So cute!

After ice skating we went to Tempenyaki Grill (if you have never been here, add it to your bucket list! What a fantastic atmosphere and amazing food to boot!) Our chef was a brilliant entertainer and you could tell he really loves what he does!

After ice skating we went to a cute house to ring in the new year! We only stayed for a few minutes and then took off to play games into the night.

Best Quality: Genuine. Dah-Veed and I had some good conversations and I could tell he meant everything he said to me. I was impressed by his honesty.

Highlight of Date: Watching the boys mess with each other during SkipBo (the card game, Julie-Ann). I love watching the interaction of good friends.

SHAYLA (Age range: 24-35. She is 28.)

When people advise single men to marry above themselves, they're talking about girls like Shayla. She's a perfect example of how to live your life, and inspires others to be better people. In her busy schedule, she can balance a successful career in microbiology, a faithful (and strenuous) workout regime, and an incredible social life. Shayla is adventurous (loves travelling and trying new things) and is an incredibly amazing cook. She gives amazing hugs, has a level head and is extremely intelligent. You'll regret not taking her out!
